Averna Creative is a Melbourne based hospitality focused creative agency led by husband & wife team Julian and Jolena Lallo.
With decades of combined experience in both hospitality and creative fields, Julian and Jolena head up a team of versatile creatives and social media & advertising experts.
JULIAN
Julian is a Melbourne-based photographer and creative director with a vibrant, cinematic style. Before picking up a camera, Julian spent over a decade in the hospitality industry both as a chef and restaurant manager, giving him a deep understanding of the energy, detail, and emotion that define great food, hospitality and the creation of content around it.
This foundation has made him a go-to visual storyteller for major tourism boards such as Visit Japan and Visit Abu Dhabi. As well as global brands such as AirAsia, Canon, Vodafone, and MINI.
Julian is the co-founder of Averna Creative and Studio Averna, which he runs alongside his wife Jo, crafting content and campaigns that blend aesthetic vision with strategic insight.
JOLENA
Jo is a multidisciplinary creative with a background in both fashion and marketing, and is the co-founder of Averna Creative and Studio Averna. She oversees creative design, marketing strategy and client relationships, playing a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and direction of the Averna brands and clients.
Her roots in bespoke fashion and couture have refined her eye for detail, composition, and narrative skills, that seamlessly translate into powerful brand storytelling.
Jo began her career designing custom bridal and editorial pieces under her own label, known for their elegance, texture, and emotional depth. Today, she brings that same creative intuition to her work across food, fashion, and lifestyle projects, helping brands connect with their audience through thoughtful, authentic, and beautifully executed visuals.
Julian and Jolena’s vision for Averna Creative is to craft and share beautiful, engaging content that has been thoughtfully designed to drive traffic into venue — all while allowing restaurant owners and managers to focus on what they do best: delivering exceptional hospitality to their guests!
